What about 'cookies'?

Cookies are small files which are automatically downloaded by your browser when you use almost any website. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to the website you are visiting. This allows the website to deliver a page tailored to you.

Cookies are not a threat to privacy because they can only be used to store information that the website already has about you.

If you are able to log in to any website, including Smart Spend this means you already have normal cookies enabled. Smart Spend also uses something called 'third party cookies' to help some retailers track your Cashback. By default, all browsers allow these cookies on their 'normal' settings. If you have disabled cookies or changed your computer's security settings, please go to 'Do I need to adjust the security settings on my computer'? Otherwise you may have trouble earning Cashback.
